Rapid Rise Skillet Rolls
- 1 tablespoon of instant dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup melted salted butter
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven 400 degrees F.
Mix the yeast, water, and honey in a large bowl. Mix the melted butter, salt, and eggs in until they are all mixed together.
Slowly add the flour, one cup at a time, until the dough forms a ball and is easy to pull away from the sides of the mixing bowl.
Make 12 equal parts and roll them into balls. Put them in a cast-iron 12-inch skillet. Cover and let it sit for 20 minutes, or until it has grown twice as big.
Bake for 25 minutes in an oven that has been turned on. If you want, you can brush the bread with another tablespoon of melted butter.
