Joomra slippers review for plantar fasciitis

Written by user

It seems my years in heels and bad shoe choices have finally caught up with me: Last year I learned that the reason behind my sudden heel pain is plantar fasciitis. It’s only in one foot and it sometimes makes walking unbearably painful, especially first thing in the morning or after standing or sitting for a long time. My entire shoe closet needed a major overhaul, and while I found plenty of sneakers with adequate cushioning (like my beloved Hokas), I found it much harder to find slippers that offer the same level of comfort. Luckily for my ever-so-weary tootsies, I found a pair that actually supported, kissed and—dare I say it? – didn’t look so hideous that I couldn’t resist my neighbors seeing me in it.

The Joomra Pillow Slippers feel exactly as the name suggests: pillows. They have a 1.7 inch foam sole that feels really weightless but still cradles my aching heels. They are insanely light and, moreover, they required virtually no break-in time. I slid these fresh out of the box and have had no blisters or chafing. They are so comfortable, I wish I had discovered them years ago, plantar fasciitis or not.

They’re also durable: I’ve had the same pair for over a year now and they still look as good as day one. I have them in a light color, and they don’t look dirty, battered, or even worn or scratched. If they do get a scuff mark they are so easy to clean – just wipe them with a damp towel. I’m pretty sure they’re indestructible – they must be, considering it’s by far my most worn shoe.

No wonder they are an Amazon No. 1 bestseller. Every time I take off the shoes I was wearing that day and slip into them, all the tension and pain in my heel disappears. I know that feels like an exaggeration, but it’s really kind of magical: I have wooden floors in my house, and these absorb all the shocks while providing grip, so they feel sturdy and safe and as close to walking on clouds as you can possibly get get a slipper.

They’re not entirely without flaws though: despite having a generous heel cup, they don’t offer much arch support, so if you’re someone with flat feet, these might not be for you. Plus, the EVA material, while absurdly comfortable, doesn’t help cool your feet on really hot days. None of these qualities are deal breakers for me, but if you live in a really hot climate, know that they may not be the best for triple-digit broadcast days.

Amazon shoppers with foot pain seem to love them as much as I do. “These are so comfortable,” shares one. “I suffer from plantar fasciitis and I use these around the house to support and cushion my feet. They help ease the pain of walking around and have adapted to my feet over time. The more you wear them the softer and more comfortable they become!”

“I have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my feet and sometimes they hurt when I walk,” shared another of the nearly 18,000 five-star reviewers. “I put these babies on and the pain completely disappears. I go from each step sore to NO PAIN. I don’t even notice I have feet anymore! Ha!”

No exaggeration, these might just be the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever own.

“These slides are great!” shared an incredulous fan. “It’s like an anti-fatigue mat under your feet, but always!”
